Jessa grew up near Buffalo, NY. As a child, she and her sisters enjoyed lullabies at bedtime. Raffi’s "Evergreen Everblue" was the first song she learned to sing, thanks to her 1st-grade teacher Mrs. Williams. At age 15, Jessa joined the cast of the "Dragon Tales Live" show, performing around the country. She then toured the world on a cruise ship and performed as a vocalist for Wayne Newton. Today, she sings with prominent Portland bands including LDW (a Talking Heads tribute). Jessa began writing songs for kiddos when her own son was born three years ago.
